D is for Doggie Luxuries

For the pet who has everything, there's a $60 "Queen" doggie tiara at Critter Beach (226-2690) in Rehoboth. Whereas Pet Smart and Petco carry mostly standard pet supplies and accessories, owner Tracy Rossetto says, "everything in here is a little bit more to the extreme." Think rhinestone collars, strands of pearls with diamond pendants, leopard-print beds, gourmet dog treats and yes, designer duds for doggie divas.

At Talley Day Park on Foulk Road, dogs and their owners enjoy the new dog park, with separate fenced-in areas for big and small dogs. The park provides plastic bags, garbage cans and a three-tiered fountain for big people, little people and dogs. The separate sections allow dogs to run free without a leash while owners watch and talk at the nearby benches.

Happy Dog Healthy Dog in Trolley Square, Wilmington, has organic dog foods and shampoos, a bakery and dog clothing. There is also aromatherapy for pets, a massage center and pet spa. Doggie pjs and art work is available for humans.

For pet sitting services call Four Paws at 655-2615. Pet need grooming? Try Applause Groom Salon (239-2961) and Groovy Groomin (737-5779), or Classy Canines (239-7474) a mobile pet salon that comes to your home to pamper your pet.
